Canadian Music Week is an annual event that features a music festival, conference, and tradeshow for the music industry.

With speakers and performers from every corner of the music business, it's an amazing time.

In 2016, Notetracks won the CMW Launchpad award. The prize, awarded by LyricFind and SOCAN, helped jumpstart Notetracks into what it is toady.

This year, Notetracks founder, Kam Lal, is excited to return and speak on two virtual panels.

TikTok Trendsetters

The first panel is TikTok Trendsetters. With artists Zaena and Jason Maek, this panel will explore the rise in popularity of TikTok. Panelists will discuss how artists can use the platform to grow their fanbase.

What’s New in Tech & Tunes in 2021

Next, you can join us as we explore some big changes to music tech in the last 12 months. With the pandemic, many artists flocked online to nurture their fan bases.

While touring was on pause, artists and teams had to get creative with how to stay connected.

The New in Tech & Tunes 2021 panel features speakers from across the music tech space. We'll discuss innovations and digital tools that help creatives thrive in uncertain times. The discussion is moderated by Leigh Andrzejewski, the head of music innovation at United Talent Agency.

This year's CMW also features talks from Nile Rodgers, Merck Mercuriadis (Hipgnosis Songs) Chris Blackwell (Island Records), Carianne Marshall (Warner Chappell), Desmond Child, Timbaland and more.
