Submit to the John Lennon Songwriting Contest to win Notetracks Pro

Notetracks News

Each week, the John Lennon Songwriting Contest awards songwriting prizes to independent musicians and writers around the world. We're pleased to share that winners of upcoming song contests will receive access to Notetracks Pro as part of their prize package.

The John Lennon Songwriting Contest was founded in 1997 as a tribute to the late musician. It gives opportunities to songwriters to get recognized and express themselves through music. The JLSC is made possible by Yoko Ono Lennon.

To date, the JLSC has awarded more than $300,000 in cash and prizes to songwriters. All entries are judged solely on their composition, melody, and lyrics. Professional recordings are not necessary to submit.

Entrants to the contest may submit one song that's less than 5 minutes long. Additionally, a lyric sheet (if it's a vocal driven song) is required. Proceeds from the $30 submission fee go to supporting the non-profit John Lennon Educational Tour Bus. The bus is a mobile recording studio that gives youth a chance to create media and music projects.
