How to get client feedback on audiovisual projects

If you’re working on an audiovisual project, such as a podcast, YouTube video, interview, music video, or otherwise, you might have found yourself needing a way to receive client feedback on your audiovisual project. Notetracks is a cloud-based, all-in-one audio workspace where collaborators can leave comments, feedback, and notes visually right on the track—no extra apps needed.

To begin, select the ‘New Project’ button and give your audiovisual project a name. Ensure you’re selecting ‘Video’ as your project type.

Next, you’ll want to add your audiovisual project to the workspace. To do this, select the ‘Add Track’ button in the top left area of Notetracks. Additionally, you can import via Google Drive or Dropbox, or simply drag and drop your audiovisual project into the workstation.

Now that your audiovisual project is uploaded to Notetracks, you’re ready to share it with your clients so they can provide feedback. To do this, navigate to the top right of the workspace and select ‘Share Project’.

How to access the Share options within Notetracks to share with your clients

You’ll be greeted with a pop-up that has a variety of options in which to share with your clients who are providing feedback.

To share via an email address, simply add your client’s email in the bar. You can select what kind of permissions they have access to, such as view, comment, and edit. To receive client feedback within Notetracks, ensure to select the ‘Can Comment’ option.

Additionally, you can also share your audiovisual project with clients via various communication platforms, such as Facebook Messenger, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.

If you’d like a public link you can easily share with your clients, select the ‘Activate Public Link’ text at the bottom left of the sharing screen. You can also share your audiovisual project at a specific timestamp by clicking on the textbox below. Once again, permissions can be adjusted for your clients.

How to share your audiovisual project in Notetracks with your clients

Now that your audiovisual project has been shared with your clients, you’re now ready to leave feedback, notes, and comments directly in the workspace. To begin to do this, ensure you’re in the ‘Comment’ pane in the top middle of Notetracks.

How to access the commenting features in Notetracks

Utilize the playback controller at the bottom-middle of the workspace to watch and listen to your audiovisual project. You can pause at any time you’d like to leave feedback for your client and receive feedback from your client as well.

You can also double-click on the waveform where you’d like feedback to be left. Additionally, you can also select a range of time to leave client feedback.

How to leave feedback in Notetracks using the Commenting tools

You should now be able to have your client type in their feedback in the text box and press ‘Post’ when they’re done.

Your client’s feedback is now available in the workspace along the waveform.
